Copper Enameling
A simple but very effective art form that adds color to metal by fusing it with heat (firing in a kiln). An enamel powder is dusted on the surface of the metal in a design and this is then fired turning the dust to a fused glass surface.
In this workshop you will learn:
•How to use an acetylene torch to prepare the metal
•Drilling and sawing the metal to create original shapes
•Creating texture by stamping or rolling
•Applying color using a sifting method
•How the piece is fired
